Your first stop is the partially restored Tomb of Bibi Mariam, a hauntingly beautiful stone structure that stands as one of the few remnants of ancient Qalhat (only visit from a distance) Though much of the city lies in ruins, the area’s historical significance is immense—this was once a key trading hub visited by Marco Polo.
