Jebel Shams Grand Canyon Retreat

Embark on a trip via the Hajar Mountains. Drive through Nakhal, making a brief halt at the Nakhal Fort before visiting Thawarah Hot Springs. Continue to Wadi Bani Awf, then to Jebel Shams dubbed as Oman Grand Canyon. The next day, you go to Misfat Al Abriyeen. The community is snuggled into the mountainside, overflowing with date palms, and you can wander around to the sound of trickling water from the ubiquitous falaj, an ancient irrigation system. Continuing the journey to Bahla Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Jabreen Castle. Imam Bil-Arab Bin Sultan built Jabreen Castle in 1675, and it was an important center of learning for astrology, medicine, and Islamic law.
